🔒 Privacy Summary: Story Status Maker is engineered with a strict Privacy-First, On-Device Architecture. We do not require you to create an account, register an email address, or log in. Your photos, event flyers, customized status visuals, and exported MP4 videos never leave your device. 100% of canvas manipulation, OCR text extraction, flyer motion animations, audio vibe synthesis, and high-definition video encoding execute locally on your physical device with zero remote cloud transcoding servers.

1. On-Device Media Processing & Zero Cloud Uploads

Story Status Maker crafts status visuals and motion videos entirely on your hardware using native mobile frameworks (Flutter, RepaintBoundary, and flutter_quick_video_encoder).

No Cloud Media Storage: When you select a photo from your gallery or capture an event flyer, it is processed and rendered exclusively within your device's isolated app sandbox. We do not operate any server that receives, converts, or stores your personal photos or media.
Local OCR Text Extraction: Flyer text, event headlines, dates, times, and venues are extracted directly on-device using local machine vision models. No flyer images or extracted event text are ever uploaded to cloud servers.
Local Audio Synthesis: All 18 built-in harmonic audio vibes (Chill Lo-Fi, Urban Phonk, Amapiano, Synthwave, etc.) are synthesized and merged into video files locally on your device without network streaming.

2. Google Gemini AI Spark Studio (Optional Feature)

Story Status Maker includes the optional AI Spark Studio for generating catchy, mood-based status quotes and hashtags using Google's Gemini AI API (google_generative_ai).

User-Supplied API Key: Users can optionally enter their personal Google Gemini API key via the app Settings. This key is stored securely in your device's encrypted local preferences (shared_preferences) and is never transmitted to B-Labs.
Offline Curated Library: For users who do not configure a Gemini API key, Story Status Maker provides over 100 curated quotes across 8 moods that operate 100% offline without any internet connection or third-party API calls.
Data Sent to Google AI: Only the short text prompt you type (e.g. "Morning coffee and peaceful vibes") and selected mood are sent directly from your device to Google AI Studio servers to generate the quote. No personal photos, identity tokens, or device identifiers are attached.

3. Device Permissions & Access Controls

To perform its core functions, Story Status Maker requests access to specific mobile system capabilities, strictly when needed:

A. Photo Library & Gallery

Used solely to allow you to select background photos and event flyers, and to save your finalized 1080×1920 HD images and MP4 videos to your device's camera roll.

B. Camera (Optional)

Used only if you choose to take a photo of an event flyer or poster directly within the app for OCR extraction.

C. Storage & Documents

Project drafts and brand kits are saved locally within your device's sandbox. We do not sync your drafts to external servers.

4. Personal Data, Accounts & Identifiers

Story Status Maker does not require an account, profile, email address, telephone number, or social media login. We do not collect names, contact lists, GPS location, device serial numbers, or advertising identifiers (IDFA).

5. Spotify Integration & Public Metadata

The optional Spotify track picker feature allows users to search public song titles and display artistic music stickers on their story canvases. Only standard public search queries are dispatched to the Spotify Web API. We never request or access personal Spotify account credentials, listening history, or private user playlists.

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Optional VIP Pro subscriptions and lifetime passes are processed directly by Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing. B-Labs does not collect, receive, or store your credit card information, billing address, or payment details. App stores manage all financial transactions under their standard terms.

7. Third-Party Analytics & Crash Diagnostics

To ensure app stability and debug fatal crashes, Story Status Maker may integrate Google Firebase Crashlytics.

What is sent: Anonymous system diagnostic logs, device model (e.g. iPhone 16 Pro, Pixel 9), OS version, and crash stack traces.
What is NOT sent: Photos, flyers, generated text, audio files, user identity, IP address tracking, or personal identifiers.

8. Children's Privacy

Story Status Maker does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a local creative design studio suitable for general audiences.
